Raised by a French Catholic dad from Normandy and an atheist Jewish mom from the Upper West Side, I'm now fluent in my dad’s way of saying things sideways and my mom’s way of saying them straight.
Which is helpful, as it turns out, when my job is to find ways to say things.
Most people call me Lucie.
Baristas call me Lucy.

Talking Politics with my Cats
Adopted as a single kitten in rural Georgia, Charlie’s politics are mostly built around not wanting to share. He usually votes third party, but for NYC mayor, he voted for Curtis Sliwa—who has 17 cats of his own.
Ladybug, however, grew up on the streets of Staten Island—so she knows struggle. While she's too young to vote, she advocates for affordable housing, public transit, and is a huge Mamdani fan.
